Is Your Church Going Emergent

If the Emerging Church continues unfolding at the present pace, mainstream evangelical Christianity will be reinvented and the gospel of Jesus Christ according to the Scriptures will be considered too narrow and too restrictive. In other words, the narrow way to heaven that Jesus proclaimed will eventually be abandoned for a wider way that embraces pagan experiential practices. There is a progression that takes place in liberal theology: It begins with a corrupt bibliology, a corrupt view of the nature and the inspiration of Scripture. They have a corrupt theology because once you are picking and choosing from the Bible what you want, your theology has to suffer from it, because your human reason is corrupt… every major theological seminary that has turned from orthodox Christianity began with disbelief of Biblical doctrine. The Emerging Church movement philosophers and theologians insist that truth is only known and validated within communities and since we cannot know absolute truth we cannot be dogmatic about doctrine.  The mantra “Did God really say…” which is the same words used by Satan to deceive Eve in the Garden of Eden echoes throughout the Emerging Church Philosophy.
