Bottom Line: The basic difference between Dispensationalism and Covenant Theology has to do with how a person interprets the Bible. The foundation for both systems relates to the issue of hermeneutics – that is how the Bible is interpreted.
If you were to sweep away all the peripheral matters, you would find that there are three key issues that separate these two systems of theology.
Issue #1: Should the Bible be understood in its plain, normal sense of meaning taking into account the historical context in which it was written? Or does the interpreter of scripture have the right to allegorize anything that he does not understand or does not fit into his theological box? (more…)
The roots of Replacement Theology and its rotten fruit of Antisemitism date back to Christianity’s infancy. Ironic when the Church formed by Christ were all of Israel . It was founded in Judea and all its founding documents were written by Jews. As the Church began to spread beyond Judea, its message was embraced by more and more Gentiles who had no interest in maintaining contact with the Church’s Jewish roots. Even worse, the new Gentile leaders began to turn against the Jews by characterizing them as “Christ killers.” (more…)
In all of this discussion about whether or not it is Israel that is the apple of God’s eye, and my conversation with Dr. Cone, a dramatic revelation has fallen on me, for which I must repent for this glaring omission of perhaps the most important reason why this must be Israel. I can’t believe I missed this.
It must be Israel because the return of the literal Jews to Israel is how God will unveil his glory in the Last Days, but to also prove with the literal fulfillment of Prophecy is Sovereignty over his people and take vengeance for his land. This is the elephant in the room that must demolish the stronghold of Replacement Theology, revisionist biblical history, and all of its masquerades and counterfeit deceptive disguises. (more…)
Christ at the Checkpoint goes on record to mock those who hold to a literal interpretation of the bible. Pastor Wayne Hilsden (token conservative) at the anti zionist political rally. However, the very next speaker, Dr. Manfred Kohl, laid into Wayne’s theology in no uncertain terms. While he did not address Wayne personally, Kohl labeled the literal reading of scripture Hilsden had just presented as the theology of fools who delight in their own idiocy. The Theology of Fools, Really Dr. Kohl? A full video expose on the theology of the leaders of this at the bottom of the page.(more…)
The term was coined by Paul Wilkinson in his book, For Zion’s Sake (see TBC resources), which presents the biblical reasons why Christians need to support the restoration of the modern state of Israel, an endeavor known as “Christian Zionism.” The enemy of that effort is Christian Palestinianism, which includes far more than a concern over the plight of the so-called Palestinian people They have organized themselves as a cancer in the body of Christ pontificating, “We categorically reject Christian Zionist doctrines as a false teaching that corrupts the biblical message of love, justice and reconciliation….With urgency we warn that Christian Zionism and its alliances are justifying colonization, apartheid and empire-building.” (“The Jewish Declaration on Christian Zionism,” 2006) (more…)
What is Replacement Theology? Replacement Theology, In A Nutshell, is a 30 min. HD video by Dr. Ed Hindson of the King is Coming who will give us a short synopsis of Replacement Theology. Many who subscribe to Replacement Theology are blind to the overall plan of Gods redemptive plan for Israel and the Church. God has unique destinies for both Israel and the Church. With the advent of the Social Gospel and Christian Activism, some well-meaning but ignorant of Gods plan have rallied around the enemies of Israel calling for the end of Israel. Is this biblical? Is God done with Israel? (more…)
Revelation Ch 12 The Woman & The Man Child video commentary, notes, pdf download with links. The Book of Revelation is the only book of the Bible with a Promise to the reader! Why? What makes this book so special? One of the reasons this book strikes us as strange is because of our lack of understanding concerning the Old Testament. The Book of Revelation consists of 404 verses that contain over 800 allusions to the Old Testament. These are detailed, along with Chuck’s analysis of the design and structure of this fascinating book. Learn about the past, present and future of the Church and our ultimate destiny. This is an ideal “first study” and foundational for every Christian.
Dr. Mark Hitchcock and Mr. Hank Hanegraaff debate the date of the Book of Revelation. The debate took place on December 10, 2007 at the annual Pre-Trib Study Group meeting in Dallas, TX. Dr. Hichcock will argue for the AD 95 date. Mr. Hanegraaff will argue for the AD 65 date. While the AD 95 date does not impact the futurist interpretive approach of Dr. Hitchcock’s view, Mr. Hanegraaff preterist view requires an AD 65 date or his view of Revelation is rendered impossible. The book is a gift from God to His Church for NOW and those who will endure the Tribulation. (Daniel’s 70th week) (more…)
The Catholic Church has for years been trying to repair its image as an institution steeped in anti-Semitism. But Bustros’ remarks make fairly clear that the Vatican remains as dedicated as ever to replacement theology – that teaching that says God has tossed aside the Jews, despite is irrevocable promises to them, and that “the Church” has instead inherited those promises. (more…)
While not evil in itself, Replacement Theology has been a dangerous tool in the hand of the Devil. It changed Christendom’s attitude toward Jewish people, fomented contempt for ethnic Israel, and recast the Scriptures from a Jewish book to a Gentile one. It also changed the meaning of Scripture, particularly when it comes to eschatology—the doctrine of future things—as we shall see. (more…)
A crucial study as we continue with our look at Replacement Theology. The sad news is that this view of the scriptures puts the individuals who ascribe to Replacement Theology make God a liar. This view simply rejects what God has said and they stagger in unbelief and begin to look and sound like the worldly system about us. This is important. This view has led to the church into playing the useful idiots of the devils anti-Semitic bidding to purge the world on Zionism. God has much to say about that. Shalom… (more…)
This issue within the Church today concerns me deeply. At it’s very core in unbelief. God requires faith from us. Unbelief is sin against God Almighty. Replacement Theology echoes the world system, The UN and many of the anti-Semitic pinnings around the culture. This is the first of three parts by James Showers. I hope you will get in prayer about this. It is an ugly doctrine in the Church that exposes hatred toward the Jewish people. May God bless you. (more…)
Today we offer the classic sermon “The Cult of Liberal Theology”. Please listen to the whole teaching. Sermon was originally aired in 1987. I can assure you from my studies on cults and witchcraft very early in my studies. The concept of infiltration into institutions of all kinds, educational, industrial, government, and the church is this. Get inside, gain favor within that group and take positions of influence. Once they have gained a high office you bring others along and they will soon dominate that structure of whatever kind it is. (more…)
This morning while we are celebrating the freedoms purchased here in America by our fallen heroes of our military. We need to know as a nation that Liberty is slipping away. There are those here and abroad that hate our liberties and want to destroy us. Today we have received and article on the incident off the coast of Israel. Read Aaron’s article, it is brief and to the point. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Look for the world media to paint a dark picture of Israel. What would you do with these people at your border…
