Dr. Mark Hitchcock and Mr. Hank Hanegraaff debate the date of the Book of Revelation. The debate took place on December 10, 2007 at the annual Pre-Trib Study Group meeting in Dallas, TX. Dr. Hichcock will argue for the AD 95 date. Mr. Hanegraaff will argue for the AD 65 date. While the AD 95 date does not impact the futurist interpretive approach of Dr. Hitchcock’s view, Mr. Hanegraaff preterist view requires an AD 65 date or his view of Revelation is rendered impossible.  The book is a gift from God to His Church for NOW and those who will endure the Tribulation.  (Daniel’s 70th week) (continue reading…)

Palm Sunday: “This Thy Day”

I was thinking about Palm Sunday approaching and I can’t help but think, I don’t think I ever heard any Preacher I’ve heard expound this passage in Luke’s’ gospel Ch. 19 account Luke 19.  Many skip  on by this scripture like myself for years and then I was absolutely blessed by what I learned back a few years ago.  The very day that Jesus was to present Himself as Messiah was given in advance to the prophet Daniel.  Jesus held them accountable.

Prophecy in pattern

In this section we will explore and show that from the very first book of the bible that God established signs in the heaven and earth to communicate greater truths for our benefit.  Below in Ecclesiastes  the Lord by His Spirit tells us that there is no new thing under the sun, and that what has been shall be.

It is my conjecture that there is far more to Gods prophetic pattern than most of us realize. Let’s examine this subject.

The Seventy-Weeks Prophecy

“Seventy weeks are determined for your people and for your holy city”  Daniel 9:24  There is a remaining seven-year period to be fulfilled. This period is the most documented period in the entire Bible. The Book of Revelation, Chapters 6 through 19, is essentially a detailing of that climactic period.  One of the golden keys to understanding the times which we live in and what the Lord God has pointed to as completing His divine plan.

Israel 101

What is all the big deal with the Middle East and Israel? This is the visual manifestation of the battle of the two seeds. The seed of the serpent, (the world) and the seed of the woman (Jesus). The tiny nation of Israel is the backdrop of world history where God will work out His final plan for salvation and judgment upon all unrighteousness.

God chose a man of an idol worshiping culture in ancient Iraq (Chaldeans) in Mesopotamia. God called this man out of a dumb idol worshiping nation and he became the father of all who will be faithful. (continue reading…)

Covenant with Death

And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it. Isaiah 28:18

Much like the prophet Muhammad did to his own people in deceiving the Quarish tribe into a false peace deal which he waited till his adversary was at peace then he conquered them. Thus the pattern of false peace was cast with the founder of Islam. (continue reading…)
