THE BOOK OF DANIEL is quoted often in the New Testament Book of Revelation. In many ways, the two books need to be read and studied together. Daniel lived at an important time of ancient history and his story is critical to our understanding of what is happening today. His visions speak powerfully of the end times, and his writing continues to exalt the “Most High God.” The accuracy and reliability of his remarks concerning future events have caused many to question his authorship of this book. However we have complete confidence that he not only wrote the book, but that God used him powerfully to bring His message to His people about what is about to happen in our time. A member of our Fellowship emailed me last week and asked me to look over a study on prophecy he was putting together for a men’s Bible study. When I looked it over, not only could I think of nothing additional to offer, I asked Ron if he would allow me to share it with a wider audience. I encourage you to download or print Ron Maurno’s “Bible Prophecy 101” and keep it handy as a Bible prophecy quick reference resource. ~Jack Kinsella There is a theological difference between Israel and the Church. Bible teacher Keith McKenzie goes where most Pastors won’t today. To the Cross of Christ. Too many today stay away from the preaching of the Cross and have lost the power of the gospel message. No wonder so many Churches today are looking to Purpose Driven, Entertainment, Best Life Now, and Emergent Mystical practices.
Keith brings a straight word of how the Lord Jesus stripped Satan and his forces of their authority and took the keys of Death & Hell to purchase all who will put their faith in Him. (more…)
If some of you are of that theological genre who believe that no specific signs exist of the Rapture of the Saints and that Israel’s present status is not to be considered eschatologically significant, I promise not to heckle or you, nor to claim that we who find much prophetic fulfillment of prophecy related to Israel today, constitute an elite spiritual cognoscenti. We are students together. Letus learn! (more…)
One Thousand Years: Literal or Figurative?
Hank Hanegraaff of “Bible Answer Man” fame has recently delved into the field of eschatology (the study of last things) with the release of a novel called The Last Disciple,1 which he co-authored with Sigmund Broward. It appears that Hanegraaff has adopted the preterist position in this first novel in a series that sees the book of Revelation as having been fulfilled in the first century.“Hank is a partial preterist who holds to a view on eschatology. Did you know that Jesus fulfilled to the exact hour in His first coming the biblical feasts of Passover, Unleavened Bread, First Fruits and Pentecost? What do the Feast of Trumpets, Atonement, and Tabernacles foreshadow?
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, [Concerning] the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim [to be] holy convocations, [even] these [are] (more…)
I was thinking about Palm Sunday approaching and I can’t help but think, I don’t think I ever heard any Preacher I’ve heard expound this passage in Luke’s’ gospel Ch. 19 account Luke 19. Many skip on by this scripture like myself for years and then I was absolutely blessed by what I learned back a few years ago. The very day that Jesus was to present Himself as Messiah was given in advance to the prophet Daniel. Jesus held them accountable.
Wisdom of The Cross
A series of four video messages on the Wisdom of the Cross. So very precious few churches are preaching the cross of Christ and that we must repent of our sins. This is the fruit that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ purchased for us. We hope you enjoy this teaching.
For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect…But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
A place called hell
The Old Testament Verses Describing Hell
The unholy trinity Death, Hell & the Grave…Jesus triumphed over them on the cross. What are we saved from?
Consider that Jesus spoke about hell more than any of the other prophets. He as creator not only created hell for those who reject His indescribable gift of eternal life. Problem is God is holy. He cannot have sin in His presence. He solved His great love and mercy on the cross. Justice was meted out on the cross as Jesus took the full brunt of all our sins. He offers that free gift of salvation to those who will believe in the gospel. That Christ died and rose again as Messiah for whosoever shall believe in His name. (more…)
What is all the big deal with the Middle East and Israel? This is the visual manifestation of the battle of the two seeds. The seed of the serpent, (the world) and the seed of the woman (Jesus). The tiny nation of Israel is the backdrop of world history where God will work out His final plan for salvation and judgment upon all unrighteousness.
God chose a man of an idol worshiping culture in ancient Iraq (Chaldeans) in Mesopotamia. God called this man out of a dumb idol worshiping nation and he became the father of all who will be faithful. (more…)
Jesus is the whole of the bible. He is God and He is what all of prophecy is about. That is where we start. Jesus is the cornerstone of the church He is the alpha and omega, He is the first and the last. Outside of Christ there is NO salvation. He is the whole of prophecy and when you don’t understand something, put Jesus in the middle of that question and see what happens.
What did Jesus say about Himself…I will only mention three here. (more…)
Does prophecy scare you? I have learned from many people that are both Christians who attend church weekly, to people who look to the National Enquire about prophecy. People are scared of prophecy. You can watch the news and you know something is wrong and you feel future events will be horrific. Prophecy study is not so much about looking into a crystal ball as it is about seeing God is in ultimate control over the events of history.
