A new, heavily advertised program debuting tomorrow (January 1) on Nickelodeon will introduce American children to a Harry Potter-like hit show from Belgian called “The House of Anubis.”  Occult Themes.  From watching the video trailer for the new TV show, it is very obvious that the producers are cashing in on the blockbuster success of the J.K. Rowling novels. It also further illustrates the fascination and affinity the world is showing for entertainment which promotes ungodly supernaturalism.  Anubis was not just a god of the dead, but he was a warrior god who opened the way to victory for the pharaoh. The ‘Opener of the Ways’ helped Anubis to guide the dead to the Halls of Ma’ati. It was here that Anubis, as ‘He Who Counts the Hearts’, watched over of the weighing of the heart and the judging of the deceased.  (continue reading…)

Apostasy means to fall away from the truth.  Therefore, an apostate is someone who has once believed and then rejected the truth of God.  Apostasy is a rebellion against God because it is a rebellion against truth.  In the Old Testament God warned the Jewish people about their idolatry and their lack of trust in Him.  In the New Testament the epistles warn us about not falling away from the truth.  Apostasy is a very real and dangerous threat.  2 Thessalonians 2:3  Dr. Ed Hindson takes us through an end time sign that many are unaware it is proliferating in the Church today. Dr. Mark Hitchcock and Mr. Hank Hanegraaff debate the date of the Book of Revelation. The debate took place on December 10, 2007 at the annual Pre-Trib Study Group meeting in Dallas, TX. Dr. Hichcock will argue for the AD 95 date. Mr. Hanegraaff will argue for the AD 65 date. While the AD 95 date does not impact the futurist interpretive approach of Dr. Hitchcock’s view, Mr. Hanegraaff preterist view requires an AD 65 date or his view of Revelation is rendered impossible.  The book is a gift from God to His Church for NOW and those who will endure the Tribulation.  (Daniel’s 70th week) (continue reading…)
