In Part 2 of Ed Chumney’s excellent study on the idioms of the Feast of Trumpets.  Many people are confused and even more don’t know our cultural and spiritual roots of the Hebrew culture.  This is the fullness of time God brought forth the Messiah in a Greek speaking Roman world with a Jewish Messiah.  Read and chew on these idioms.  You will gain great insight into Gods Holy word.

A brief introduction to The Feasts of the LORD.  In short God gave 7 feasts of His own choosing.  These would be practices for the coming Messiah. First Fruits is Easter

Today we have a couple of comments on Easter.  Easter is actually the biblical feast of First Fruits.  Easter is and was a pagan festival that the Romans celebrated during the days of Jesus ministry.  See our article on Icons of Easter for the origins of Easter.  First Fruits and understanding what actually happened and what is to happen is a truly fruitful study.
