The purpose of this page is to present a comprehensive and coherent methodology for Biblical interpretation. Many skeptics have complained that the Bible can’t tell us anything of any real value because every person interprets it differently. While this is surely an overstatement – there is a great deal contained in the Bible that many Bible-believing Christians do in fact agree on – the reason why there are so many different interpretations is because interpreters don’t follow any sensible or consistent method. This naturally leads to inaccurate, inconsistent, illogical and naive interpretations. We imploy the Grammatical-Historical Method. (continue reading…)
Revelation Session 19: Dr. Missler
by Amos 3:7 on Nov.14, 2011, under Revelation Study
The Book of Revelation is the only book of the Bible with a Promise to the reader! Why? What makes this book so special? One of the reasons this book strikes us as strange is because of our lack of understanding concerning the Old Testament. The Book of Revelation consists of 404 verses that contain over 800 allusions to the Old Testament. These are detailed, along with Chuck’s analysis of the design and structure of this fascinating book. Learn about the past, present and future of the Church and our ultimate destiny. The scale of the attack of the World Trade Center on September 11th, 2001 was massive. Technology insured the continued visibility and recollection of insistent images. Was this event in New York unique in history? On the surface it would appear that it was not: catastrophic and unimaginable yes, but unique? Rabbi Cahn describes the “Eight Harbingers of Judgment” experienced by Israel and their uncanny parallels to the events of September 11, 2001: his insights are prodigious, overwhelming and foreboding. Video and Messianic Rabbi Cahn is below. (continue reading…)
A Golden Trumpet
by Amos 3:7 on Jul.27, 2011, under Hebrew Roots (Shoreshim), Patterns in Prophecy, Rapture
The view that the Rapture will occur at the mid-point of the Tribulation is based upon 1 Corinthians 15:52 which states that the Rapture will occur at the blowing of “the last trumpet.” This Mid-Tribulation Rapture view then declares this trumpet to be the last of the seven trumpets in Revelation 11 that is blown at the mid-point of the Tribulation. Why of the 114 references to trumpets in the Scripture these two are identified as one and the same only defies sound Scriptural research! The context clearly shows the last trumpet of 1 Corinthians 15 is blown for believers whereas the seven trumpets (of judgments) of Revelation 8, 9 and 11 are sounded for unbelievers. The Revelation trumpets therefore can have no relevance for the Church! There are many trumpets mentioned in the bible. (continue reading…)
