Flash Forward Setup?

For the Christian I look at this new show that has come on ABC Flash Forward.  The premise for the premiere  was interesting in that what I perceive with this show and the myriad of movies being pumped out seem to be anticipating something.   If you haven’t seen the promo’s.  It opens like this.  Something has happened the “Flash Forward”, where everyone, ooops nearly everyone has blacked out and has had some vision of the future and some not.  The scene is mass chaos.  Planes going down, cars crashing, people dropping right where they stand unconscious leading to the deaths of 20 million. A housewife named Stephenie Meyer “received” the story of Twilight in a dream on June 2, 2003.  The vision she had of a vampire and mortal as lovers compelled her to start writing the story immediately.  She says she couldn’t resist the drive to write down her dream (a similar sinario to J.K Rowlings, author of Harry Potter).  Meyer gives a summary of that first dream, “I woke up (on that June 2nd) from a very vivid dream. In my dream, two people were having an intense conversation in a meadow in the woods. One of these people was just your average girl. Set Nothing Wicked Before Your Eyes

“I will set nothing wicked before my eyes,” wrote David (Psalm 101:3). We should adopt the same policy. This applies to what we read, watch on TV, and view on the Internet. The eyes on our faces are avenues to our souls, and if we view evil, we can easily become evil. The old saying, “Monkey see, monkey do,” reveals a deep truth. X-Men makes no secret of promoting evolution.  These comics and most are full of occult fantasy images, scenarios that in my opinion is shaping young minds.  For what…  I have often wondered why during the Apoclypse in as outlined in Revelation that there is by chapter 9 the Sixth Trumpet:  The Angels from the Euphrates are released. Even some Christians leaders agree that it’s “just fantasy” and generally acceptable for the Christian reader, including Chuck Colson of Breakpoint, the editors of World Magazine, and Connie Neal (author of What’s A Christian To Do With Harry Potter?) [7] However, occult experts, Marcia Montenegro of Christian Answers for the New Age [8] and Caryl Matrisciana, author of Gods of the New Age [9], disagree with their Christian peers. Hollywood and the Wiccan Revival

The incredibly sharp increase of young people identifying themselves as neo-pagans and Wiccans in the last decade is largely a result of media propagandizing and the glorification of occult themes in Hollywood. Hollywood has a long history of providing fuel for the lie that there are both “good” and “bad” witches. The alliterative words from the Wizard of Oz, “Ding, Dong, the witch is dead!  Which old witch?  The wicked witch!  Ding, dong, the wicked witch is dead!” imply that there are also “good” witches.  Of course, in the Wizard of Oz, children learned that while there are wicked witches, there are also good witches like the “Good Witch of the North.” (continue reading…)

So allow me to assume a biblical tone for a moment: Woe to those who pay even scant heed to Stewart’s underlying spiritual speculations: That questioning, nay, rebelling against God is about the best thing you can do, because God isn’t just mean and vindictive, He’s wrong.
