Hamas means violence חמס

Hamas:  It is a familiar term we have heard in the daily news.  A group dedicated to the destruction of Israel.  I was most thrilled when I found this article by Rabbi Jon-Jay Tilsen below.  He stated Hamas is Hebrew word for violence.  Let’s look at a brief lexicon result for this word.

Jihad & Terrorism

Since the end of World War II the UN has spent most of it’s time resolving the Arab-Israeli conflict.  Israel only accounts for 1/6 of 1% of all the Arab land, yet has become a “very heavy stone”.  God will use this tiny nation to show himself God and that He is not done with the Jewish people.

Jihad in short is a Muslim expression of spiritual struggle against the forces of evil.  Jihad comes from the Arabic verb Jahada that is to exert.  To be perfectly fair to all Muslims, Jihad is different to different people.  Many among the Muslim community disagree as to the true way to partake in Jihad.  Just like we of the Christian community have varied interpretations on the rapture, works, and prophecy.  It is up to us to understand that it is the fundamentalists Muslim that will go to the length of killing themselves in the cause of Allah.  We will look at the radical element within Islam.  Videos attached below. The Seventy-Weeks Prophecy

“Seventy weeks are determined for your people and for your holy city”  Daniel 9:24  There is a remaining seven-year period to be fulfilled. This period is the most documented period in the entire Bible. The Book of Revelation, Chapters 6 through 19, is essentially a detailing of that climactic period.  One of the golden keys to understanding the times which we live in and what the Lord God has pointed to as completing His divine plan.

Israel 101

What is all the big deal with the Middle East and Israel? This is the visual manifestation of the battle of the two seeds. The seed of the serpent, (the world) and the seed of the woman (Jesus). The tiny nation of Israel is the backdrop of world history where God will work out His final plan for salvation and judgment upon all unrighteousness.

God chose a man of an idol worshiping culture in ancient Iraq (Chaldeans) in Mesopotamia. God called this man out of a dumb idol worshiping nation and he became the father of all who will be faithful. (continue reading…)
