Luciferianism – What is it?
Luciferianism is a system of belief which involves black magic (or magick) in its worship of Lucifer, and often other so-called deities, in pursuit of deeper understanding, power, and connection with the true self, or “enlightenment.”
A person who adheres to Luciferianism is to think like the gods and goddesses he or she applies to for understanding and power. It is not a particularly prescriptive system of belief, but rather a general direction of ideology and goals combined with certain ritual practices. Luciferianism may include any number of combinations of beliefs tending more toward a New Age type of spirituality or occultic spirit worship and manipulation, atheism, or a monotheistic belief in Lucifer as God.
Those who hold to Luciferianism in any of its forms all hold that Lucifer is not the same as the Satan of the Bible – in a particular way, anyhow. They believe they are worshipping the Lucifer mentioned in the King James Version translation of Isaiah 14:12 (“Day Star,” as it is translated in most other translations, is a literal translation; but the words so translated were also the proper name “Lucifer,” which some translations use instead).
The Luciferian Philosophy
Religion vs. The Truth
[bctt tweet=”Luciferianism – What is it? Luciferianism is a system of belief which involves… #Amos37″]
This fallen Archangel is elsewhere identified as Satan, the Serpent, the Devil, and other epithets identifying him as greatest of all evil beings. The name Lucifer is believed to have been Satan’s name before his fall, when he was an Archangel. Luciferians believe that the being they worship is the “good” version of this being, and do not believe the being they call Lucifer has any of the negative attributes that the Bible describes. So, while they claim they are not worshiping “Satan,” they do believe they are worshiping the being Christians call Satan, but that our Bible describes him wrong. It is because of this that Luciferians differentiate themselves from the occult, which makes no pretense to worship anything other than the evil being called Satan in the Bible.
There are serious issues with this entire system on every level. A few that we will focus on here are the hermeneutical interpretation of Lucifer, the danger and wrongness of trying to communicate with spirit beings, the belief in any being as the ultimate power in the universe beside God Himself, and the inability for this system to provide any kind of salvation.
The Use of Hermeneutics
Hermeneutically, the Bible cannot be made to say that the being Isaiah referred to as the Day Star or Lucifer is now anything but the purest, basest evil in existence ever. In the Old Testament, the Devil is presented over and over again causing God’s people to sin and do heinous things, from tempting King David in 1 Chronicles 21:1 to accusing and then afflicting Job and others (Job 1-2; Zechariah 3:1). In fact, this is what his very name means, for when used as a verb, Satan can mean to act as an adversary or accuser, or to be hostile (Genesis 27:41;49:23;50:15; Zechariah 3:1). As a side note, this alternate meaning is where the term “Adversarial Magick” came from, essentially meaning Satanic Magick. The New Testament applies even greater emphasis on the evil character of Satan, where he is mentioned over 35 times. He is referred to as “tempter” (Matthew 4:3), “ruler of demons” (Matthew 9:34;12:24; Mark 3:22; Luke 11:15), the “evil one” (Matthew 13:38), and “the father of lies” (John 8:44) – and those are just in the gospels.
The Use of Sorcery
The use of magick, sorcery, or divination of any kind is repeatedly spoken against whether in the Mosaic Law (Exodus 22:18;Leviticus 19:26;20:6;20:27; Deuteronomy 18:9-22), historical accounts (2 Kings 9:22;17:17-18;21:1-7;2 Chronicles 33:6), or prophetic writings (Isaiah 2:6;3:1-3;44:25;47:9,12-15;Jeremiah 27:9;29:8;Zechariah 10:1-2).
In the New Testament, Paul brought the Gospel to many Greek cities whose social structures depended on the magick and sorcery used in relation to idol worship, which made it a serious concern, while the power of the Holy Spirit was tempting to many practitioners of magick. A sorcerer who desired to buy access to the Holy Spirit’s power was severely rebuked by Peter (Acts 8:9-24). Paul and Silas freed a fortune-telling slave girl from the demonic possession which enabled her owners’ trade (Acts 16:16-26). Witchcraft is directly condemned in Galatians 5:20. Allowing Satan or any of his demons to give you power, information, or protection, or to even communicate with them beyond ordering them to desist or remove themselves from a particular place as part of spiritual warfare through the Holy Spirit is both sinful and unwise.
Particularly applicable to those Luciferians who believe in Satan as a mono-theistic ultimate ruler, or even as one of a pantheon of gods and goddesses, is the reality that God is a jealous God who will not, in the end, share His glory with anyone. To worship anyone or anything other than the true and living God is not only incorrect, but worthy of eternal damnation. To worship the being who has committed such an extensive rebellion against God and done so much evil in this world is only worse.
The worship of any other spirit being or the pursuit of knowledge through the spirit world does not provide lasting hope or salvation from what we know in our hearts. The church in Ephesus, a city particularly known for its practice of magick and worship of demonic spirits, had many former sorcerers in its midst. They were determined, as is appropriate, to completely dedicate their lives to God, and to do so they had to completely sever themselves from their involvement with other spirits. The book of Acts records that, “a number of those who had practiced magic arts brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all. And they counted the value of them and found it came to fifty thousand pieces of silver” (Acts 19:19). They sacrificed power, prestige, and a great deal of money, all for the sake of attaining a relationship with the only true God and the love of their Savior, Jesus Christ.

Actually Luciferians don’t worship anybody, even those that practice theistic Luciferianism. And as the basis of what we believe pre dates Christianity and the Bible, the fact that all your evidence comes from the Bible and your dramatic and mislead view of an ideology that has absolutely nothing to do with Christianity, Satan, or the Bible, lends nothing to your credibility as a writer.

How can you say you don’t worship anyone when you yet worship yourself? The difference between your ideology and ours is that the fall of man happened way before your time and mine, that book was written more recent than the scriptures, it was because Cain left after killing able as well as Noah having one of his sons depart did this allow the spread of other ideas. Know that nothing you will do in your belief system will ever save you or please God himself in your actions, ideas, or yourself. Nothing you do for yourself will keep your well of happiness stay full forever or bring full joy and compassion in your life. So let me ask you this: How can you believe in something that contradicts itself over and over than swallowing the hard truth that all other false ideas will get you nowhere in thisnkife or the next?
Kenny,
Thanks for your comment. It’s called faith.
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
For by it the elders obtained a good report. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.”
Curious you speak of historical events, but doubt the biblical ideas behind them. What evidence do you posses sir that allows for your belief system? Lucifer is the very author of doubt… Genesis 3 …”has God said..” is antithetical to faith. Faith is trusting God for what He has said. May we offer the evidence today of Bible Prophecy… While there are many sensational and poor teachers out there in greater Christendom. The bible is an open book to those who trust in Him… For God is Spirit and not man.
“Behold, the former things have come to pass, And new things I declare; Before they spring forth I tell you of them.”
–(Isaiah 42:9)
“Remember the former things of old, For I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me, Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things that are not yet done, Saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, And I will do all My pleasure’.”
— (Isaiah 46:9-10)
“Now I tell you before it comes, that when it does come to pass, you may believe that I am He.”
— (John 13:19)

Let me know what you think… And may God grant you repentance unto life eternal.
this is a lie Luciferians do not believe he is all good they believe that lucifer himself stands for every sin and that said sins should not be sins in the first place
amos 3:7 your bible says that you should worship no other god and that none but god himself may be worshiped correct? yet deny that there are other gods when yet in the bible it says there are others? Greed is a sin but by god demanding you to worship him only he is committing the sin of greed. when you commit a sin gods wrath would be upon you yes? wrath is also a sin, your “god” sins every time a person reads a bible and yet all christian people call him good, he is your father yet have you ever seen this so called god? What has he done that a human could not?
No false, you are blind, I pray you repent and it’s a faith thing. God is Creator of heaven and earth, He took my sins which are many upon Himself like taking the place of Barabas. He is good, I am not. May these short offerings on why the Bible calls other false deities gods, and there be many.
In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. 2 Corinthians 4:4
“1Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth. 2And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know. 3But if any man love God, the same is known of him.
4As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one. 5For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) 6But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
7Howbeit there is not in every man that knowledge: for some with conscience of the idol unto this hour eat it as a thing offered unto an idol; and their conscience being weak is defiled. 8But meat commendeth us not to God: for neither, if we eat, are we the better; neither, if we eat not, are we the worse. 9But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumblingblock to them that are weak. 10For if any man see thee which hast knowledge sit at meat in the idol’s temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols; 11And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died? 12But when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ. 13Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend.” 1 Corinthians 8:1-13

LOL “Lucifer as god…”…the truth from a Luciferian!
As someone else said, you are COMPLETELY wrong about Luciferianism…but were used to that, ignorance is prevelent for those who choose not to bother to find out, and people like this are happy to spread this ignorance.
For someone who identifies as Luciferian, Lucifer is not their master, lord or anything…certainly not God, a Luciferian is his own GOD…now before you think that egotistical, again you couldn’t be more wrong, you’re thinking in the contecxt of your own framework which is based upon hierarchical structures rather than absolute universal equality..
a Luciferian seeks enlightenment by thinking without such frameworks.
To the Luciferian, Lucifer is an archetype which represents conscious liberation, and the absolute REJECTION of a superior entity. To WORSHIP ANYTHING would be abhorrent to a Luciferian. And that is why many, including yourself, perceive it as Satanic. but there is a vast chasm between Luciferianism and Satanism.
We comprise of many groups because we are an inclusive philosophical group of people, who will not take dogma, or law, or mastery by an outside force without due consideration when you have considered your place in that regime, then your conclusion is a sovereign truth.
1. Atheistic- As far as we have encountered, Mankind is the most intelligent, wise and successful species we know with empirical evidence (a scientific standpoint, so unlike we include science as our exploration of our place in the universe). Therefore we are the supreme being known to man, to date. And so we could claim if there is something to call a god, then we are as close to it as we can be until something superior materialises.
2. Theistic- We believe that there are spiritual forces which can work along side us, they can be petitioned for favour, this you call “Black Magick” and I’m sure plenty of Luciferians would call it magick…but what is the difference between petitioning one spiritual entity as we do, or your prayers, where you petition Jehova, Jesus, Mary, the Saints? no different than those who choose to petition Azazel, Baal, Lucifer or A universal force? There is actually many who would say Jesus was a Luciferian, or even an incarnation, made flesh of the Lucifer entity, in the same way, you claim him to be an incarnation of your “so-called” God. The theistic are open to any Learning, understanding or beliefs that can be found in ANY spiritual or Religious framework, That includes Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Jewish Mysticism, Bhudism, Taoism, I-ching, Theosophy, Wicca, Satanism, Atstaru, Rosicrucian, Scientology, Paganism…none are excluded, You take the path, take the wisdom, and move on so you can compare it with others.
we simply reject the idea that you must follow one…or be damned, or must adhere to the man-made dogma included in their texts. We do however accept there is wisdom which will benefit us within all and any. We break down the barriers which separate religions, races and creeds which make men hate each other, we are a loving group of people, who believe in personal self-respect, advancement and shareing the light (light bearers…Ill come back to that)
Pantheistic- We believe that the universe is God, and this one really fits well within the Christain framework. Although this is not a God to worship, this is “all”, all time, all place, all physicality and absence. everything! infinitely in all directions. That “all” makes a single entity.
which we are a part of. like being in a huge living biosphere that is metaphysical and expansive. Now if “All” is “all” and we are a part of “all” then we are “all”. And so when your badly translated, and manipulated bible (I Know, I actually studied it, and the earlier versions, and its roots…jot just waffling about the English translation that didn’t exist before the 15th Century KJV, its greek, Latin and Hebrew, Mesopotamian, Akkadian original scriptures, things like God is within us, God sees all. We are the children of God, God knows our thoughts…Omnipresent, omnipotent and ubiquitous..all make sense. And when we ask, why didn’t god act…to help starving children, we have an answer that isn’t “god works in mysterious ways” or “God is condemning these babies because they were born of sin”…we can say “Why didn’t we do anything, we are god, and we are gods hands”.
Now, why Lucifer?
Remember I said, we are Lightbearers. The word Light-bearer occurred 20+ times in the bible. The word Lucifer is from the Latin “Lux ferre” which means Lux(light) ferre(bearer).
Our purpose is to carry the light within us, knowledge, understanding, compassion and tolerance. Lucifer the character, which most of YOUR belief about, laughably came primarily from John Milton’s Paradise Lost (a 15th-century novel), not the bible…which proves your lack of adherence to its content.
if you took the bibles version of Lucifer, the two places “light bearer” was translated from the adjective “light bearer” into the nominal “Lucifer” was claimed to be a mistranslation, although personally, I think maybe it had some intent. But he didn’t appear in the bible before the KJV.
The light bearer was most likely the planet Venus because actually most of the bible is astrology, the science of the day.
the story of Lucifer rising above god in the heavens, is just the story of the morning star (Venus) which rises before the sun god (did I say the bible was primarily sun worship?, yeah next time you are in church just apply the sun to all mentions of god…and you’ll see).
The armies of angels in the uprising were just other stars, rising in the night, then the sun comes out (king of the heavens) and whipes them all out.
It’s actually the same story as Horus, Set and Osiris.
anyway, I digress!
Yeah, so Lucifer…Morning star, Venus…son of God, yep the child of the sun, venus due to her close proximity to the sun, rises before it in its guise as morning star..hece the name in that tv show “Lucifer Morning-Star”…funnily enough Jesus said “I am the bright morning star” in revelations!!! hello clue is in the name…it reveals what Jesus is…well he didn’t really say it, because he’s venus…makes the blind see, brings the light, walks on water…it all makes sense when you apply this
so if you’re interested in dumping the dogma of religion, and finding what your entire lives beliefs are truly about…I have books, google for them, you will learn so much…then if Christianity is still your prefered path…your still Luciferian, that’s the point, we CHOOSE, and nobody tells us what to believe, and we don’t worship anyone but ourselves..as GOD!
Yours with Love (elo ve) Richard K Page (Luciferian)
