Today we look at Prayer and its crucial work in a believer’s walk with God.

Prayer in the Upper Room

Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day’s journey.
And when they had entered, they went up into the upper room where they were staying: Peter, James, John, and Andrew; Philip and Thomas; Bartholomew and Matthew; James the son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot; and Judas the son of James. These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers. (Acts 1:12-14)

This excellent resource is a topic we just need to master in these last days.  Prayer affects us and the world around us.  Think about that, but our flesh is selfish and seldom willing to yeild to this discipline.  I myself feel the urgency of reviewing this in depth.  So you will come along with us and learn these principles and teachings from both Jesus our Lord and many examples from both the Old and New Testaments.  Teach us to Pray is a crucial element in the believers life and an absolute must in spritual warfare.  And friends we are at war, so we can fight back and stand firm on the Word of God.

Jesus High Priestly Prayer

[John 17:13-26]  And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.  I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.  They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.  As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.  And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.  Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;  That they all may be one; as thou, Father, [art] in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.  And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:  I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.  Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.  O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.  And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare [it]: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.

Tragically today’s professing Churches are filled with many many false teachers, false prophets, signs n wonders that are outright Christian Cults.  Who are they and why did Jesus warn of so much about deception Matthew 24:4-5, Luke 21:7-8, and in 2 Corinthians 11:1-4 the Apostle Paul warns of Another Jesus & Another Gospel!?  What’s that all about?  Who are they and why is it different?  We will examine the major movements their false gospels, but most importantly how they subtly deny Jesus:  Hence another Jesus.  Click on Landing Page for Another Jesus and Another Gospel.

Our guiding scripture today is 2 Corinthians 11:1-4  In Christ Jesus  -Josh

“For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.”
