MSN: Cubans are no strangers to queuing for everything from bread to toothpaste, often standing for hours under a blazing sun with no access to a toilet or drinking water, and always with the fear of leaving empty-handed.
It is a daily ordeal Cubans have endured for about 60 years of communist rule, now worsened by the coronavirus pandemic, a steep economic downturn and tightened US sanctions.
“I spent almost all night here just to buy something. It is not easy, it is a big sacrifice just to be able to eat,” shopper Edelvis Miranda, 47, told AFP at a market in Havana last week.
The homemaker had taken her place in the queue at about 1:00 am, and finally left around 11 hours later, just before noon.
“It was worth it, because I found everything. Now some rest, and then back to the queue again,” she said on her way home with two liters of oil, two packets of chicken, some minced meat and detergent.
Cuba recorded an official inflation rate of 70 percent in 2021, when the economy recovered a modest two percent after an 11-percent drop in 2020, signaling the nation’s worst economic crisis in almost three decades. Read More …

Authoritarianism always starts with people in government who tell others how to live, while they live graciously. In Cuba, they are called “The Special People.”
Somehow the rules are not for them, and after a while it becomes accepted.
One day, possibly soon, a man will come along with answers to everything. He will speak pompous words, stand above his peers (Daniel 7:20), and seemingly have answers to the most complex of problems. He will temporarily solve the 3500 year old problem between Jacob and Esau (Israel and her neighbors)
He is Satan’s man, supported by an evil trinity (666) and he will ravage the earth with authoritarianism to get his way. He will be limited to 7 years.
When his time is over, Jesus promises He will return, and Satan’s man will go to the bottomless pit for 1000 years (Rev. 20:3).

In the Old Testament, Christ’s return is emphasized in no less than 17 books, and the New Testament authors speak of it in 23 of 27 books. The New Testament mentions His return in 7 out of every 10 chapters. In other words, 1 out of every 30 verses in the New Testament proclaims that Jesus Christ is coming back to this earth. source
We know the Location of His return
Zechariah 14:4 And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives,
Which faces Jerusalem on the east.
And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two,
From east to west,
Making a very large valley;
Half of the mountain shall move toward the north
And half of it toward the south.”
The whole world will witness His return
Revelation 1:7 Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.
We will be rewarded for watching for His return:
“Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.”
