Today we look at the heartbreaking topic of Apostasy. Our guiding scripture today is… “Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition” 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4 Falling Away/Apostasy STRONGS NT 646: ἀποστασία
ἀποστασία, -ας, ἡ, (ἀφίσταμαι), a falling away, defection, apostasy; in the Bible namely, from the true religion: Acts 21:21; 2 Thessalonians 2:3; ([Joshua 22:22; 2 Chronicles 29:19; 2 Chronicles 33:19]; Jeremiah 2:19; Jeremiah 36:32 (Jeremiah 29:32) While many movements and brothers and sisters in Christ share a different eschatology, many Christian Cults like the NAR, Dominionism, Social Justice, Liberalism, Emergent, Mysticism, Jehovah Witnesses, Mormonism, Seventh Day Adventists and more share varied views that lay the groundwork for the coming of Antichrist.
The issue is complex, yet the key indicator of our Lord Jesus promise of His return for His Bride the Church. When asked just before the crucifixion and rejection by the religious leadership, Jesus gave two, not one discussion on signs of His return. Deception and false prophets and teachers Matthew 24, Luke 21, Mark 13 (Compared Here pg 185 on Olivet Discourse), The Book of 2 Thessalonians the Apostle Paul helps to clarify some confusion as to a letter was saying that The Great Tribulation had begun. This caused confusion for those whom the Apostle Paul taught they would be Raptured before The Great Tribulation.

The Bible indicates that there will be a great apostasy during the end times. The “great apostasy” is mentioned in 2 Thessalonians 2:3. The KJV calls it the “falling away,” while the NIV and ESV call it “the rebellion.” And that’s what an apostasy is: a rebellion, an abandonment of the truth. The end times will include a wholesale rejection of God’s revelation, a further “falling away” of an already fallen world.
The occasion of Paul’s writing to the Thessalonians was to correct some of the errors concerning the end times that the believers had heard from false teachers. Among the falsehoods was that “the day of the Lord has already come” (2 Thessalonians 2:2). The Christians in Thessalonica were afraid that Jesus had already come, they had missed the rapture, and they were now in the tribulation. Paul had already explained the rapture to them in his first letter (1 Thessalonians 4:16–17). Paul writes his second letter to assure them that, contrary to what they had heard, and despite the persecution they were enduring, the “day of Christ” had not yet come. (Got Questions)
This page and all its content are designed to help the serious student to understand the relation of the Bible text here in 2 Thessalonians 2:1-5 the Apostle Paul is bringing into there remembrance in vs. 5. It is the relation of a proper Hermeneutic here to go back and do both Thessalonian epistles together. Then do the Olivet Discourse outlined in Luke 21 which happens later in the day from the discourse at the Temple in Matthew 24. There is an order of events that only a Pre-Tribulation Rapture makes sense. I know it’s a lot but worth your time and study.
How it rightly relates to a proper view of the days we live in. If we are expecting and preparing for the soon coming of Jesus Christ for His Bride (the Church). Many Christians don't believe this. Some are Christian and we can agree to disagree and then there are some like in The NAR, Dominionism, and a host of others that are setting the stage for the Coming Antichrist. Serious charge. Let's take a look at the Olivet Discourse in Luke 21. Notes: linked above. 4 Hours Study
In the earliest stages it was determined that with only small forces available it would be necessary to concentrate Communist agents in the seminaries and divinity schools. The practical conclusion drawn by the Red leaders was that these institutions would make it possible for a small Communist minority to influence the ideology of future clergymen…. Welcome to the origins of the Social Gospel
There was a time when ideas like yoga or eastern meditation in the church were only associated with Progressive, Christ Science churches, Universalist Churches, and a few spurious non-biblical fringe places. This is exactly what Theosophist (Luciferian) leader Alice Bailey predicted would be part of the new age infiltration into the church.
Postmodern liberalism, which has slithered into the Church with the Emergent movement, shares intellectual roots with fascism. One of the most popular postmodernist tendencies within aesthetics is deconstruction. Deconstruction is a postmodern and Emergent tactic of textual analysis…

IS A MORMON A CHRISTIAN? My mother was a Mormon. I had the pleasure of leading her out of the Mormon Church. I have learned from the great apologists of the past and present is to give them something to think about. So I give them one or two penetrating questions that may lead them out of the stranglehold of the Watch Tower. False Prophecies, Corrupt Translation, False Christ equal a False Gospel.
When the Roman Empire established Christianity as the only legal religion in the late fourth century, many pagans became associated with Christian churches. They practiced the pagan religion the Babylonians had adopted in the 22nd century B.C.,3 which involved the worship of a goddess addressed as “The Holy Virgin,” “The Virgin Mother,” and “Queen of Heaven and Earth.”
This movement is worth looking into what they teach. Many well intentioned Christians are being duped by this emotional driven movement. Amos37 gives Joel’s Army its highest warning . There are many new revelations and new winds of doctrine sweeping the Church today. Sensationalism seems to be the guiding light leading souls into extremes
Jude warned the church to contend for the faith against apostates who attempt to steal away disciples. In verse 4 of his epistle, he wrote, “For certain men whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are godless men, who change the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only sovereign and Lord.”
The Roman Catholic Church has been around for about 1700 years. With each passing year, they continue to grow more apostate. They are not a Christian denomination but instead could easily be categorized as a cult. In the Latin, the word “Vatican” means “Hill of Divination.” Actually, they are a cult of the virgin.
Rome denied salvation by faith in Christ without Church sacraments and good works and basically rejected everything the Reformers asked the Church to accept in submission to God’s Word. Then Trent pronounced more than 100 anathemas (excommunication/damnation) against all who accepted any Reformation teaching.
It was this YouTube video I saw during the latest election with the Rev. Jeremiah Wright who pontificated this strange thing. Black Theology and Dr. Cone. I looked into it and was saddened to see the theology that was born out of centuries of oppression and hatred.
Dominionism is a general denial among dominionists of a deteriorating world at the end of the church dispensation, leading to the tribulation period and the revelation of the man of sin. They do not accept the fact of a great falling away in the end-time (2 Thess. 2:3) and the proliferation of evil and wickedness to unprecedented levels (Matt. 24:12); 2 Tim. 3:1-5; Rev. 22:11

By combining signs and wonders with a false Christology that denies the deity of Christ, Johnson has placed his followers in the center of end-time deception. Now rather than the one “Anointed One” (Jesus Christ who is unique), there are many “anointed ones” who supposedly can do greater miracles than Jesus. This situation is described in the Bible…
