GAIA WORSHIP – THE NEW PAGAN RELIGION

Anyone who has studied the global environmental movement has no doubt heard the term “Gaia”.  Gaia is a revival of Paganism that rejects Christianity, considers Christianity its biggest enemy, and views the Christian faith as its only obstacle to a global religion centered on Gaia worship and the uniting of all life forms around the goddess of “Mother Earth”.  A cunning mixture of science, paganism, eastern mysticism, and feminism have made this pagan cult a growing threat to the Christian Church.

Flash Forward Setup?

For the Christian I look at this new show that has come on ABC Flash Forward.  The premise for the premiere  was interesting in that what I perceive with this show and the myriad of movies being pumped out seem to be anticipating something.   If you haven’t seen the promo’s.  It opens like this.  Something has happened the “Flash Forward”, where everyone, ooops nearly everyone has blacked out and has had some vision of the future and some not.  The scene is mass chaos.  Planes going down, cars crashing, people dropping right where they stand unconscious leading to the deaths of 20 million. Here we are at Easter again and the same questions arise.  Is is OK for Christians to celebrate Easter… I don’t want to put anyone under the law, but once you’ve seen the origins of what most of us ignorantly have celebrated all or lives.  So what’s the big deal for some.  I have attached two articles.  The first article is from a Christian source.  The second is from a pagan gift shop source.  They agree on the origins of what I will call “The Icons of Easter”.  Well worth looking at God bless you. A housewife named Stephenie Meyer “received” the story of Twilight in a dream on June 2, 2003.  The vision she had of a vampire and mortal as lovers compelled her to start writing the story immediately.  She says she couldn’t resist the drive to write down her dream (a similar sinario to J.K Rowlings, author of Harry Potter).  Meyer gives a summary of that first dream, “I woke up (on that June 2nd) from a very vivid dream. In my dream, two people were having an intense conversation in a meadow in the woods. One of these people was just your average girl. Set Nothing Wicked Before Your Eyes

“I will set nothing wicked before my eyes,” wrote David (Psalm 101:3). We should adopt the same policy. This applies to what we read, watch on TV, and view on the Internet. The eyes on our faces are avenues to our souls, and if we view evil, we can easily become evil. The old saying, “Monkey see, monkey do,” reveals a deep truth. In these “last days” (2 Timothy 3:1), may God help us to focus our minds–and our eyes–on things that are good. (continue reading…)
