Flash Forward Setup?

For the Christian I look at this new show that has come on ABC Flash Forward.  The premise for the premiere  was interesting in that what I perceive with this show and the myriad of movies being pumped out seem to be anticipating something.   If you haven’t seen the promo’s.  It opens like this.  Something has happened the “Flash Forward”, where everyone, ooops nearly everyone has blacked out and has had some vision of the future and some not.  The scene is mass chaos.  Planes going down, cars crashing, people dropping right where they stand unconscious leading to the deaths of 20 million. But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. The Church Against The Rapture

When the Christian community gets united behind something we’re a force to be reckoned with. The 2004 Presidential election was a good example. Many of those 35 million extra votes George Bush got were from Evangelical Christians. Sadly, things like that don’t happen very often anymore. Even 9/11 didn’t produce any long term change toward unifying the Body. But try to imagine this if you can.  Imagine how different this country would be today if all Christians held a Christian world view, were convinced that the Lord was coming back for us very soon, and were living their lives accordingly.
