The word “Zion” is used over 150 times in the Bible and refers to the the Land of Israel, the city of Jerusalem, the children of Israel, the mountain of the LORD, the message of salvation which the Messiah of Israel will bring, the return of the Jewish people to their God-given Land, and even refers to the eternal home of all believers (Hebrews 12:22-23). Though some have called “Zionism” – “racism” – that is totally false! The word “Zion” is a great word, and even the LORD GOD of Israel is a “Zionist” – the One Who roars as a Lion out of Zion, which is clearly identified as the city of Jerusalem where God has put His Name forever! Zion is the name given to God’s people whom He has engraved on the palms of His hands (Isaiah 49:13-16).
Zechariah 9:9 is a wonderful prophecy referring to the coming of the Messiah into Jerusalem, riding on a donkey, lowly, humble, but having salvation! Zion is referring to the hope of eternal life and we must never forget that the Redeemer comes out of Zion, bringing salvation and His reward!
True believers have no question about identifying themselves as “Zionists” – may God open our eyes to the truth of the Bible!
It’s getting worse out there for Jews, as the annual anti-Semitism report shows, but American Jewish leaders don’t seem to have noticed.

Racism and anti-Semitism consist in part of treating one group differently from another.
Israel receives undue attention worldwide and as history has dictated through the years, the Jews are once again victims of growing anti-Semitism.
As purported human-rights activists pontificate against Israel regularly, they ignore the words of one of the greatest civil-rights heroes ever, Martin Luther King, Jr. who said “”anti-Zionism is inherently anti-Semitic, and ever will be so. When people criticize Zionists, they mean Jews. You’re talking anti-Semitism.”
Oddly, that quote is rarely mentioned by mainstream media.
And if it’s not Anti-Semitism, how else can one explain the Teachers Union of Ireland calling Israel an “apartheid state”? The members of that enlightened group adopted a resolution this week at their Annual Congress that “requests all members to cease all cultural and academic collaboration with Israel, including the exchange of scientists, students and academic personalities, as well as cooperation in research programs.” It is the first full academic boycott by a European teaching union and is simple, unadulterated anti-Semitism.
Needless to say, the enlightened made no resolutions about Iran, Syria or any of the other countries in the Middle East, including those which don’t allow women to drive, those which imprison homosexuals and, of course, forgetting those that don’t allow the practice of any religion except Islam. The Jews are the real danger.
Iain Banks, a Scottish writer who has been named by The Times one of “The 50 greatest British writers since 1945″, announced his support for the international Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) campaign against Israel. He won’t allow Israel to sell his books. (Trust me, Israelis will go on without his books, difficult as that may sound.)
York University’s student association passed a resolution endorsing the global Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) campaign against Israel. The campaign calls on universities to divest from holdings in companies that do business with Israel and to cut ties with Israeli academics. York is Canada’s third largest university with 55,000 students.
And despite all this, in America there seems to be brain-dead American Jewish leadership.
100 American Jews led by the liberal Israel Policy Forum issued an open letter to Prime Minister Netanyahu urging him to take “confidence building steps” to encourage peace talks with the Palestinians. Signatories including former AIPAC executive director Tom Dine, philanthropists S. DanielAbraham, Charles Bronfman, and former Union of Reform Judaism president Rabbi Eric Yoffie said “We believe that this is a compelling moment for you and your new government to respond to President [Barack] Obama’s call for peace by taking concrete confidence building steps designed to demonstrate Israel’s commitment to a ‘two-states for two peoples’ solution to the Israel-Palestinian conflict.”
These naïve American Jews didn’t call for the rockets to stop flying at Israel by those same Palestinian Arabs -nor urge Abbas to work with Netanyahu.
Of course, these Obama-faithful Jews also neglected to mention Israel’s previous confidence-building measures like withdrawing from Sinai, Lebanon and Gaza. Those moves haven’t exactly made Israel an oasis for peace, have they?
Nor did they respond to the news that the annual White House celebration of Jewish American Heritage Month has been cancelled. Due to the sequester, some events will be cancelled – but note that St, Patrick’s Day events went on as planned, and thus far Cinco De Mayo events haven’t been cancelled.
Anyway, the majority of American Jews blindly vote Democrat, no matter what, so politically Obama and his party have little to lose.
