Ultimately all cults find a way to twist the scriptures and preach another Jesus and another gospel. 2 Corinthians 11:4, Galatians 1:6-10. We must be able to discern that not all who claim the name of Jesus really know Jesus. Counterfeits are made to pass as the real thing. Doctrine is teaching and many cults do a far better job of teaching the cultist what they believe than do many Churches what Christians believe. A sad commentary today is Mormons convert more Baptists and Catholics because they don’t know why they believe what they believe. All of us will have the opportunity to witness the truth about the cults and true love will risk offending the person to save that soul from a Christ-less eternity.
