My wife had brought to my attention this alarming story of a teen pact to have a group of up to 17 girls become pregnant at the same time.  With the rise of teen sex, and the resistance to the things of God, we are on the road to perdition.  Then the “Matter of Peor” in Numbers 25 came to mind as The Way of Balaam who .  In short, as you read this article, the matter of Peor was that Satan’s tool was to get the children of Israel to sin by committing fornication. 

The plan was for Moab to move good-looking women into position and allure the men to commit sin against God, and thus God would judge that sin.  It worked!  The answer to the problem is to be zealous and not apathetic as we tend to be as a nation, but especially within our churches.  Below I make a direct Satanic link to the festival of Bel (Baal) of the ancients to today’s fertility rituals.  They worship sex in error.  Hey, God created sex in the very first chapter of the Bible, and God saw that all was very good.  Perversion is the tool the devil uses to turn us away from the original blessing of sex.

What is Fornication?

So what is fornication anyway… It is sex outside of marriage.  God’s word says that He blesses the marriage bed.  God doesn’t want us not to have sex as some may think.  No, God created sex!  He made us male and female.  He created all the chemicals and nerve endings on our bodies.  He said be fruitful and multiply.  Modern speak.  Enjoy all that I have made in the garden, and enjoy each other as He created, and it concludes that it was good.

And God said, Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

So God created man in His [own] image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them.  And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.  BLB (KJV) Gen 1 vs. 26-28 & 31.It was not until sin had entered the garden that man encountered shame.  They where naked and not ashamed.  Sin brings condemnation and condemnation brings shame and sin when it is full grown brings death.  Sex is not the problem as much as the perversion of it.

Does God take fornication seriously.  Yes it is all through the bible.  When Israel sinned by taking strange women from Moab at the advice of Balaam.  Balaam advice to Balak to curse Israel was to send the hotties next to the camp of Israel and Israel would fall into temptation.  In the bible fornication is synonymous with also being unfaithful to worshipping only God.  God is in effect the husband and His people are to only worship (intimate relation with God) and not to have relation (spiritual adultery) with other gods of the idol worshippers around them.

Look at this event recorded in Numbers 25:

And Israel abode in Shittim, and the people began to commit whoredom with the daughters of Moab.  And they called the people unto the sacrifices of their gods: and the people did eat, and bowed down to their gods.  And Israel joined himself unto Baalpeor: and the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel. vs. 1-3

The whoredom was the actual sex acts of fornication with the daughters of Moab…and they note, joined themselves (sexual idiom) for bowing to their gods.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Take all the heads of the people, and hang them up before the LORD against the sun, that the fierce anger of the LORD may be turned away from Israel.  And Moses said unto the judges of Israel, Slay ye every one his men that were joined unto Baalpeor.

And, behold, one of the children of Israel came and brought unto his brethren a Midianitish woman in the sight of Moses, and in the sight of all the congregation of the children of Israel, who [were] weeping [before] the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

And when Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saw [it], he rose up from among the congregation, and took a javelin in his hand; And he went after the man of Israel into the tent, and thrust both of them through, the man of Israel, and the woman through her belly. Talk about dealing with sin.  We have no concept of how God hates sin.  He is holy and we need to follow closely to what He wants from us.  He does not want us to be joined with harlots and engage in the folly of idol worship.  Sex outside of marriage is worship of the sex act itself.  Worship of the body… Which in Romans God tells us that it is the very definition of idolatry to worship the created things.  Men and women are created things.  Our bodies are created things and have in large part become sex idols to millions in America.  See how this develops in Romans chapter 1.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.  For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

Satan has used Hollywood movies like Animal House, American Pie, Sex and the City, Swing town, and Californication to promote anything but sex between a man and his wife.  We like Israel have moved out of our camp and taken to ourselves the Moabite idols of adultery and fornication on TV as the ideal for sexual pleasure.  Nothing could be farther from the truth.  We need more Phinehas’s to thrust the truth of Gods word into our illicit sexual desires that lead to death.

The matter of Peor was the children of Israel where being taught to commit sex acts while worshipping the idols of the Moabites.  In the ancient cultures it was common to have orgies at pagan fertility rituals.  Hey some wine, drums, a fire…sounds like ancient night club for the pagans.  It was the advice of a false prophet who taught the King of the Moabites to commit fornication and God would in His righteousness judge Israel for sin.  This is exactly what is going on in America people.

We need to be zealous not luke warm in dealing with the sex saturated media.  I know that we should flood networks with the javelins of e mail complaints.  Stop buying products on these networks.  Stop renting inappropriate movie titles that support this behavior.  We should not be silent.  Spread the word and get involved and be a pain in the rear end to these god less programmers.  Really we should get rid of the TV.

Below is some sobering secular thinking of brutal statistics.  This is the fruit that we as a nation are reaping for departing and tossing God out of our schools, government and increasing out of the Church.  Interesting to note that the Church of Laodicea the Lord Jesus Christ is on the outside knocking to come in…  It is His church.  That is an indictment against or moral failures as the church.  God help us.  The answer is not sex education, condoms, pregnancy tests at school, and group discussion.  The answer is Jesus Christ and the bible.  The bible teaches that sex was created by God and that it was very good.  The bible teaches that gift of sex is for one man and one woman in marriage and God will bless that when they are in fellowship with Him.  The world is a mess and sex has been defiled by our own lust for sex without boundaries.
