Doreen Virtue – Former New Age to Christ Testimony and Warnings
Doreen Virtue holds a Master’s degree in Biblical and Theological Studies (with highest honors, 56 units, 2021) from Western Seminary, and an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Chapman University. Before coming to saving faith in Christ in 2017, she was the top-selling New Age author in the world and was ranked among the 15 most influential living spiritual teachers by Watkins magazine.
For over three decades, Doreen was immersed in New Thought Churches, later transitioning into New Age and Wicca teachings while touring with a global mind-body-spirit conference. She was frequently featured on popular media including Oprah, CNN, The View, and Coast to Coast AM. Her life was radically changed when the Holy Spirit convicted her of sin as she read [Deuteronomy 18:10–12].
By God’s mercy and grace, Doreen repented and trusted in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Since her conversion, she has devoted herself to warning others about spiritual deception and pointing them to the sufficiency and authority of Scripture.

In January 2015, Doreen Virtue was listening to her car radio and heard a sermon by Pastor Alistair Begg about false prophets. Doreen recognized that she matched the description of a false prophet, and she began going to church. In early 2017, she began studying the Bible. When she read Deuteronomy 18:10-12, which lists the sinful activities of the new age, Doreen repented and gave her life to our Lord and Savior Jesus.
Doreen has renounced her previous work, and she prays for the day when other people will stop selling her old products. If she was self-published, the old products would have been taken off the market immediately. Unfortunately, other companies have licenses to the old products and they continue to sell them.
In the meantime, Doreen posts regularly on social media, messages for new agers to destroy her old products and leave the New Age behind, and give their lives to Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
