AI companies are buying physical books by the thousands and even the millions. They
cut the spines off, run the pages through high-speed scanners, and then shred or
discard the paper originals. Books printed before 2022 are especially prized because
they contain no AI written text: “AI Companies Are Buying Tons of Old Books Because
They’re Free of AI Slop” Reminds me of Fahrenheit 451 original was 1966, and a reboot in 2018. I was shown in a middle school assembly as a young child. Wow, then been at this for awhile.
