The Jesus of Islam

The Jesus of Islam is another Jesus.  Another Jesus? You may think that there is only one Jesus Christ the savior, but there are many.  But as a good steward of the word of God we should always look to what scripture has to say.  Watch closely in these verse I will list below.

“But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent (devil) deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds bay be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.  For he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted-you may well put up with it!

…For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.  And no wonder!  For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.”  2 Corinthians 11:3-4,13-14.

Are Jesus and Isa the same?

Let’s examine the Jesus of Islam, and what Muslims are taught about Jesus.

-Jesus was a great prophet of Allah (God).  Surah 5:75-77

-Jesus was a healer and raised the dead.  Surah 5:110-116

-Jesus was virgin born of Mary.  Surah 19:19

-Jesus was holy.  Surah 19:19.

Muslims in large believe that prophets where sinless in the regard of major besetting sins.  But Jesus is mentioned as holy.  Also in Muslim circles prophets are held in very high regard and like popes speak in errantly on Allah behalf.  *Note that in Surah 48:2 provision by Allah was made for Muhammad’s faults.

-Jesus in mentioned as Messiah 11 times in the Qur’an.

-Jesus is a sign unto men.  Surah 19:21

-Jesus is mentioned in 90 verses of the Qur’an with 64 that relate to the nativity story.  Only 26 relate to his personage.

-Jesus in Islam is held with high esteem in that only Jesus is mentioned as Peace be upon him (PBUH) as with the prophet Muhammad.

-Jesus is taught as being a true prophet of Allah and was a Muslim.  He preached peace, healed the sick, raised the dead, was reviled as Muhammad for his message and taught Islam not Judaism or Christianity.  Only here do we start to see that Jesus is different.  If Jesus taught Islam which a Muslim believes is the first and only true revelation from Allah.  Then our understanding of Jesus is diverse, and if he is different then Muslim understanding holds anther Jesus.

Jesus has indeed preached what was always the truth from the beginning.

“In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God.”  John 1:1.  The foundational belief for us a Christians is that Jesus the living word of God is the Son of God. The Son of God causes serious division between our faiths.  Islam denies that Jesus is the very Son of God.  Surah 9:30. Denies the death, burial, and resurrection at Calvary Surah 4:152-156.  Therefore denying the shed blood, the cross, and deity of the Son of God.  These are the very foundational soul food of a Christian.  None of these doctrines can be compromised!  Because of these beliefs they stumble at the Trinity also Surah 4:170-171. (Bible Proofs for Trinity: Triune NOT three gods)

The spirit above in the opening of this page speaks of another Jesus.  That spirit is an antichrist spirit.  In 1 John 2:22-23 John defines the spirit of antichrist.

“Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ?  He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.”

Islam denies that Jesus is the Son of God.  That denial qualifies them as an antichrist religion.  The spirit of antichrist is to oppose the work of God and the purpose and finished work of Jesus Christ.  Others stumble at this.  One Muslim apologist argues.

“If Jesus is God, and the very Son of God because he has no earthly father, then Adam is greater than God, because he had no father or mother!  Simple common sense demands this deduction.”

That is a puny argument and the simple minded should choke on this.  The creation account of man in Genesis shows God created man out of the clay as does the Qur’an affirm this.  When a Muslim is cornered in an argument and has nothing left to say from the Qur’an or the traditional teachings they fall back on.  “Allah is all knowing and all powerful”.  Nothing is impossible for Allah according to a Muslim; it seems except when it comes to teaching something that is contrary to what they believe.  Jesus is found saying, “I and my Father are one.”  John 10:30

Jesus is mentioned over 40 times in the New Testament as being the “Son of God”.  Yet the teaching of Islam known as “Tarif” teaches that our scriptures are corrupt.  No honest appraisal of the facts of history, writings of antiquity, archeology, and the body of evidence that is found in the bible itself.  I cannot urge you enough to trust and examine the credibility of our bible.  It is bible predictive prophecy that sets the bible apart as a book from God and those that are written by men.

We are to test the spirits

“Beloved do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.  By this you know the Spirit of God; every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God.  And this is the spirit of the Antichrist…By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.”  1 John 4:1-3,6.

The Jesus of Islam first denies that Jesus is the very Son of God and continues to deny the most fundamental Christian teachings and sets itself in opposition of the truth that is found in the bible.  The bible tells us that false prophets would come and Muhammad with the message of the Qur’an is from the spirit of error.  Even the appearance of counterfeit religions and false prophets was prophesied in the bible.  If we didn’t have something of value with what we have in Christ Jesus they wouldn’t try to counterfeit it.  Counterfeits while having some appearance of value are found by the original authority is found worthless.

Muslims need to be confronted in love with the truth of Jesus Christ.  He is the only way to the Father.  Share the word of God with a Muslim without giving scripture references.  Just simply speak the word of God asking the Holy Spirit to give you what you need to say at that moment.  Be Spirit led and not condemning.  Love em to life.

Here is a related article by a Muslim Sheik:  called “Winds of Jihad”  Let’s look at what they are taught about the Lord Jesus Christ.  How sad that the children of Esau and Ismael have not followed the God of Abraham.  Bible prophecy is the absolute test by which all other false religions are tested.  The book of Mormon can’t locate it’s ancient sites yet the bible is a manual for today’s archeologists.  So it is with all false books including the Koran.

Original article extracted from:  The Muslim Jesus, known as ‘Isa

Slave of Allah

*Today we increasingly hear and read that Christianity and Islam ‘share’ Jesus, that he belongs to both religions. So also with Abraham: there is talk of the West’s ‘Abrahamic civilization’ where once people spoke of ‘Judeo-Christian civilization’. This shift of thinking reflects the growing influence of Islam.

* But “Isa’-, Muhammad’s perverted Jesus, has nothing in common with the Jesus of the Christians:

‘Isa’ Will Abolish Christianity

‘Muslims believe Jesus will come back, break the cross and lead the war against the kaffirs’-

There’s more: Jesus will come back, break the cross, kill the swine and abolish the jiziyah.

The swine, that’s us folks, just in case you’re wondering.

The killing of the swine is so that the “Christian belief of its lawfulness is belied.” The reason for abolishing the jizyah tax (the compulsory poll-tax that non-Muslims must pay in order to live in a Muslim land) is based on the idea that when Jesus returns, the jizyah tax will no longer be accepted. The only choice that Christians will have is to accept Islam or die.

* Here’s a summary:Let’s review the various defining characteristics and actions of the Muslim Jesus upon his return to the earth:1. Jesus is said to return to the earth in the last-days near a mosque in Damascus.2. He will arrive at a time when the Mahdi and his army will be preparing to pray.3. He will be offered to lead the prayer by the Mahdi, but will decline in direct deference to the Mahdi who Jesus declares to be the leader of the Muslims.4. He will then pray behind the Mahdi as a subordinate.5. He will be a faithful Muslim
6. He will make pilgrimage to Mecca.7. He will visit Muhammad’s grave, and salute Muhammad, whereby Muhammad will return the salute from the grave.8. He will destroy Christianity.9. He will repeal the jizyah tax thus causing the only option for Jews and Christians to convert to Islam or die.10. He will establish Islamic Shari’ah (Law) throughout the entire earth.11. He will kill the Antichrist and his followers made up largely of Jews and women.12. He will remain on the earth for roughly forty years, during which time he will marry, have children and then die.

As we have clearly seen, the Muslim Jesus, in both his nature and actions is far different than the biblical Jesus. Rather than coming to reign as King and Messiah over all the earth from Jerusalem, Jesus instead comes to convert the world to Islam or kill those who refuse to do so. Instead of coming to save and deliver faithful Christians and Jews, he comes instead to kill and slaughter them.

Now read from Surah 5: 72-75.

72. They do blaspheme who say: “(Allah) is Christ the son of Mary.” But said Christ: “O Children of Israel! Worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord.” Whoever joins other gods with Allah,- Allah will forbid him the garden, and the Fire will be his abode. There will for the wrongdoers be no one to help.
73. They do blaspheme who say: Allah is one of three in a Trinity: for there is no god except One Allah. If they desist not from the word (of blasphemy), verily a grievous penalty will befall the blasphemers among them.
74. Why turn they not to Allah, and seek His forgiveness? For Allah is Oft forgiving, Most Merciful.
75. Christ the son of Mary was no more than an apostle; many were the apostles that passed away before him. His mother was a woman of truth. They had both to eat their (daily) food. See how Allah doth make His signs clear to them; yet see in what ways they are deluded away from the truth!

Again we can read in the Hadith that they say Jesus was not God but just man and will judge Christians who believe differently. -Hadith 4:657

Allah is the Best of Deceivers.” Jesus of Nazareth is an historical personage. Issa of the Qur’an is an ahistorical fiction. The mother of the Islamic Jesus is Mary–Maryam, the Miriam of our Old Testament (Tanakh, if you will), who is the sister of Moses and Aaron! Eighteen Centuries between Moses and Jesus are juxtaposed! That, and a host of other anachronisms and revisions–RIDICULOUS!!  Extracted from: ‘Isa’- the Muslim Jesus » Winds Of Jihad

Sounds a bit like the false prophet out of Revelation that looks like a lamb, but speaks like a dragon: Worth watching.

And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.  And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by [the means of] those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

Mark of beast

And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:  And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number [is] Six hundred threescore [and] six. Rev 13:11-18
