Kingdom Parables Series Index: Against Kingdom Now Theology

Our Lord Jesus gave 7 Kingdom Parables in Matthew 13. The purpose of parables is both to conceal the truth from the unbeliever and to reveal it to the believer. The picture Jesus and other scriptures paint is one of tough conditions, treachery, apostasy, and a prophetic picture of the overall Kingdom age. It is widely misunderstood, and we expose the notion that the Church, as in Kingdom Now and Dominion Theology, teaches that the Church will, or has to, take over world governments before Christ can come back.

This is the opposite of what Scripture and Jesus taught. The Doctrine of Dominion (rulership and stewardship) is introduced in [Genesis 1:26], and then lost at the Fall of Man in [Genesis 3, Romans 5:23; 6:23]. Jesus redeemed man at the Cross of Christ, and this is important: Satan and his followers still have primary dominion until Jesus returns and vanquishes all of His enemies at His Second Coming. Remember, Jesus was offered all the kingdoms at the Temptation of Christ [Luke 4:5-13], yet went to the Cross.

Daniel Chapter 7 tells us well in advance who and when the Kingdom and Dominion are given, but Kingdom Now and Dominionist Church don’t teach Bible Prophecy. It’s in the Bible! Below is about Jesus, the Son of Man, coming to the “Ancient of Days,” vs. 12- 14, casting down Satan’s beast kingdoms. The book of Revelation puts this all together. Revelation fulfills all concepts and origins in Genesis and the Old Testament, including the giving of everlasting dominion.

[Dan 7:9-14 KJV] 9 I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment [was] white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne [was like] the fiery flame, [and] his wheels [as] burning fire.

10 A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened.

12 As concerning the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a season and time.

13 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, [one] like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. (This is the Second Coming of Jesus at Aremegeddon at the end of The Tribulation 70th Week of Prophecies. [Revelation 19:11-16, Titus 2:13]

14 And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion [is] an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom [that] which shall not be destroyed.

Session 01 introduces the Kingdom parables Jesus taught in Matthew Chapter 13. We will take an in-depth look at the purpose, prophecy, and yes, problems with the Kingdom, with a variety of enemies corrupting the work and ministry of God’s word. This series is intended to help us discern what Jesus Himself said the Kingdom of Heaven would look like at His Coming. It will inform and bless those with discernment. We will demonstrate using a consistent method of comparing scripture with scripture, as Leaven in Matthew 13 & Matthew 16, and many others, to show that apostasy and sin in the Church will be the high-water mark of the last days. Ultimately, we will show that evil men will grow worse and worse (2 Timothy 3:13), including deceivers (Matthew 24:4, 5, 11, 24; Romans 16:18; 2 Thessalonians 2:3; Ephesians 5:6-16; and the entire book of Revelation).

Ultimately, the Bible teaches that deceivers and false apostles will get worse and worse as the day of the Lord approaches (the Tribulation & Daniel’s 70th week), like labor pains. Read that as faster and harder, not better and better, as the false prophets of Kingdom Now and Dominion Theology promote, which is a bridge to New Age thinking and the original lie.

Why? Eschatology, the study of last things, is grotesquely skewed by these Pollyanna prophets. Ever notice that, while you are reading the Old Testament, all the false prophets were speaking nice, soft words and telling the leadership that God is with you, that you will prosper, etc.? So these are competing views of what the Kingdom of God will be like. That’s why we posted this series to show, from the Bible, the keys we have been given to those in the household of faith. Enjoy.
